Frontend Technical Lead

- Development lead for a greenfield React Native project bringing the Solid Starts platform to mobile and introducing new features such as bookmarking and tracking progress. Within one year we had achieved over 1 million downloads with an average 5-star review across iOS and Android. Became the no. 1 parenting app in the Google Play store and the 3rd highest grossing app in the Food & Drink category in the US. (No.1 in Australia).

- Lead Developer for the migration, redesign, rebuild and rearchitect of the well-established Solid Starts web platform. The highly customised WordPress architecture, complex document structures and half a million users were migrated to a headless solution. Leveraging Contentful for content management, AWS for user accounts, Shopify for purchases and subscriptions and Algolia to elevate their site search experience.

Led frontend development for Pave, a mobile app designed to support young people in quitting vaping, backed by the Cancer Institute NSW. Collaborated with a multidisciplinary team and public health experts to deliver a production-ready React Native application for both iOS and Android platforms within a tight timeframe.

Lead Frontend Developer (Contract)

- Assisted with the development of the Vivid Sydney website and was tasked with introducing micro-animations across key areas of the website, whilst keeping in-line with the directed aesthetic and design. The project was built using a custom Server-Side React setup with express and Redux.

- Took over many of the maintenance tasks for several existing large scale projects and helped maintain a high level of code coverage using the testing framework Jest.

- Worked with the project management team to evaluate current ways of working with development teams and helped introduce more effective ways of tracking development tasks and monitoring progress.
