A food pooling app which lets you host (or float) curated meal combos which offer the maximum discount when ordering food from online services like Swiggy. A person can float their order for other people to join before the scheduled time, or join an existing one and make their payment to the app for confirmation. The host orders the food from Swiggy and confirms the completion of the order upon delivery of everyone's food. When the participants confirm the receipt, the payment is transferred to the host. The participants of a particular order are added to their personal chat group created while hosting any meal combo, which is finally deleted after the transfer of payment to the host.

Gromnom - A food pooling app

The aim of the project was to track the expenses of the hostelers and predict their monthly savings based upon their spending trend. Using exploratory data analytics to analyse the spending trends of undergraduate students living in hostels. Also trained a linear regression model to predict their savings and expenses for the coming months. Written in Python3.6 and deployed using a Docker container.

Financial Analysis and Expenditure Management for Hostelers

Developed an Automated Multi-Node Hadoop HDFS and Map-Reduce Cluster Setup using Python Scripts and Server-Client topology. Added login authentication into the tool using face recognition through HAAR Cascade Classifier. Used Speech Recognition to make the tool interactive and user-friendly. Made the system more scalable for enterprises by writing Ansible Playbooks to set up large clusters.
Technologies Used - Apache Hadoop v1, Socket Programming, Speech Recognition, OpenCV, Red Hat Linux, Python 3.6, Red Hat Ansible 2.6.
