Demo for ABB which shows how using ABB drives helps to save energy in HVAC (heating, ventilation, air conditioning) systems. Within this project, my team was given: * An objective: To show how using ABB drives helps to save energy in HVAC systems. * A deadline: 6 months. * A budget: 10.000 Euros. During this 6 months, we had to come up with an idea, develop the plan of implementation, get in contact with suppliers and outsource some activities, learn and apply a lot of electrical, electronical and mechanical activities and present our demo in a fun and interesting way. We built an structure with tow pairs of fans. One pair controlled by the ABB drives and other pair with no control. We built a smart system connected to a screen the energy consumptions of each pair was displayed. Then we run several shows where we made the fans work under different conditions, so the performance of both pairs could be compared.

ABB Air Flow

Programming an autonomous robot in C++ which takes care of elderly people. Provided with a map of a building or a house, the robot is capable of moving between any two points inside the map. The robot has several infrared and ultrasonic sensors which allow him to avoid both static and dynamic obstacles. The robot has an integrated camera and a WIFI connection. Therefore it can send pictures or video over the internet.
