Engineering "Nokia Life", a suite of information and empowerment services for the emerging markets of Asia and Africa. Nokia Life was a push-messaging service for phones with no cellular or Wifi capabilities. Users in any of world's six most populous countries could subscribe to information​ channels such as Health Living​, Pregnancy Tips​, or Learn English​ and receive programming automatically every day.

Software Development Manager and Senior Architect

Software engineering for Nokia's smartphones with focus on
* A developer-facing web-apps runtime and programming platform
* A mobile web browser tailored for users in developing countries and engineered for a Qt, WebKit powered low-cost Linux smartphone platform. 
* Worked closely with product managers to design, conceptualize and develop a WebKit-based browser with seamless cloud-assisted data saving features.

* Delivering software performance (high speed and low memory footprint) to mobile products: Web Browser for Symbian, Web Run Time for Meego Linux and Symbian, QtWebKit development framework.

Principal Software Engineer - WebKit and Mobile Web

Member of the Applied R&D Team at a 40-person start-up focused on mobile multimedia applications and compression technology. 

Optimized codecs for Xbox/PlayStation, wrote software as a service, managed mobile streaming infrastructure for audio and video. Sent invoices to paying clients and collected checks :) . 

Managed HTTP and RTSP streaming infrastructure. Advised mobile carriers/operators in US and the Middle East with first-ever video and audio deployments over 3G/1xRTT/EVDO networks.

Built MEWS: an internal video transcoder software-as-a-service offering that saved Nellymoser a tonne of money!
