Creative Mornings is a global monthly speaker series and morning gathering of creative types. Each event includes a 15-20 minute lecture, followed by a 20 minute group discussion. The gathering begins at 8:30am with the topic presentation starting at 9:00am and everyone taking off for work at 10am. Creative Mornings are free of charge!

Brand and Editorial Designer

Working primarily for one brand for 8 years really helped me to develop an understanding of the far reaching role design plays in a business, particularly in the realms of marketing and branding. Working closely with the marketing department and covering the full extent of the visual side of the marketing plan, increased my focus from a purely creative point to a performance and problem solving approach.

I was responsible for producing strong brand guidelines, vital brand assets such as logos, iconography, as well as marketing collateral and UI designs.

Senior Visual Designer

Building successful products with a user-centered approach in the financial services and insurance industry, creating and improving design processes and systems, turning challenges into opportunities.

Oversaw product design, delivered varying fidelity design prototypes, and worked closely with product managers and engineers for 3+ products
• Led multiple sprint kickoffs and facilitated workshops to define product strategy and vision, identify user pain points, and developed roadmaps for clients ranging from investment banking services, insurance quoting systems, HR platforms as well as internal projects
• Streamlined design hand-off and established design systems with reusable patterns

Simultaneous to working as visual designer and heading the short courses department, I had the opportunity to regularly give lectures and create course content a in a variety of 1 year full-time courses ranging from Visual Design to Product Design & User Interface Design.
