Researched and helped develop a solution that used a KPMG proprietary tool with the objective to automate the extraction of information in bank documents. I worked in a 3-person team. We used regex patterns that were manually crafted and implemented domain-specific machine learning algorithms.

This project had the company itself and a bank as the final client.

The main technology used was python.

Researched and developed an Eclipse Environment for Stream Reasoning
with Hybrid Knowledge inside the Eclipse IDE as part of the Practical Activity for Curriculum Development course.

This environment has the goal to simplify the construction of Reactive Multi-Context systems, which are an extension to the Multi-Context systems, that allows the use of Streams as input.

Undergraduate Researcher

As an AI/ML Developer, I played a leadership role in bootstraping recommender systems for a mobile app within the e-commerce space. Leveraging GCP resources such as Retail API, Vision API, Big Query, Vertex AI, and custom solutions, I led the team in developing the initial recommender system and successive iterations, which aimed to improved the overall user experience.

Technical Lead - .NET Developer - Healthcare Project
As the Technical Lead - .NET Developer on a healthcare project, I led the engineering team while communicating directly with the customer. Using .NET and Blazor WASM, I developed gRPC-based software solutions and collaborated with the team to ensure successful delivery.

During this two months summer internship me and 4 more interns developed a project proposed by our supervisors, that consisted of a distributed system for condition monitoring of assets, applied to the railway sector. 

The goal of these systems is not only to improve security by preventing critical component failure, which can lead to human casualties but also the availability of such systems inherently decreases overall maintenance costs by anticipating the need of expensive operations.
This project focus on the monitoring of moving assets, i.e. train components, while an application for fixed assets, such as tunnels, bridges and the rails themselves would be similar.
The sensor system created can be easily expanded to other sectors such as aerospace, energy, telecommunications, etc.
