Contingency Emergency Response Component (CERC)- Coordinator

1.Coordinate a systematic collection of information pertaining to the joint operations plans (4Ws), from relevant MOH offices and key operational partners, to generate a consolidated overview of needs and requirements.

2. Co-develop, with relevant internal MOH teams and key operational partners, the strategic response framework and joint operations plan (4Ws) to outline the response strategies to the emergency incident.

3.Design and/or adapt a system to analyse and document, MOH performance in line with the strategic plans and based on the MOH emergency response framework, ensure the implementation of remedial actions for the implementation of effective health interventions for emergency response.

4. Oversee the development of MOH’s emergency workplans and associated budgets outlining the required response activities and resources (staffing, equipment).

Feild Epidemiologists 

1. Provide technical support to MOH Central and Regional Offices focusing on the assessing, implementing monitoring and evaluating rapid response operations in Puntland State of Somalia affected by emergencies or at risk.

2. Identify public health priorities in both chronic and acute emergencies settings and monitor the erosion of health services (including aspects of coverage and accessibility) in the regions of concern.
