Though I do not "code" while at work, working as an Audio Engineer has taught me very valuable lessons about signal flow, network infrastructure, and working under high-pressure environments. So much of my software development "mastery" actually spawned from working on real world problems in the audio world. I work at a multi-million dollar facility that hosts weekly events for hundreds of people. I've worked on small recordings, but also designed, constructed, and built audio/video setups for events holding thousands of people. This job taught me how critical the small details were, and also extended my opportunities with learning technology. I am very grateful for all the things I've been able to learn and translate into building a SaaS around that 9-5.
