Responsible for leading and managing major information technology projects primarily related to a network operations infrastructure environment, but also including applications development projects.  Worked with clients, technical personnel, and non-technical personnel to coordinate across functions to ensure on-time, on-budget, and in-spec delivery of the client’s requested solution.  Managed a data center and office consolidation, ensuring safe and effective transfer of applications and hardware to prevent unplanned downtime.  Managed several client server deployments, security assessments, and user migrations with complete and concise client updates and effective technical planning, documentation, and execution.

IT Project Manager

Supervised tactical communications network design, documentation, and installation of circuit switched, packet switched, single channel radio, multichannel radio, and satellite networks.  Managed a Systems Control Center and supervised all watch officers.  Supervised readiness and maintenance for over 20 million dollars worth of equipment, and led over 120 Marines from all communications specialties.  Developed and provided instruction in basic data networking, Systems Control Center roles and responsibilities, and the Marine Fitness Reporting system.

While deployed to Afghanistan, Coordinated with senior and adjacent Network Operations Centers as a Project Manager and a Systems Control Center Watch Officer.  Supervised daily network operation of four LAN/WANs and the satellite connections for three outlying bases supporting over 10,000 users. Communications Officer

Responsible for being a situational leader who makes key, objective decisions under the pressure of critical situations.  Maintain a fundamental aptitude of network concepts and technology to guide  incident and problem resolution, help provide team assessment, and ensure customer expectations are properly set. Use effective organization in the follow-up and successful contribution to multiple concurrent events, requests, and projects.  Understand individuals across the team and lead by example with ownership, attention to detail, and customer focus.

Network Operations Manager

Responsible for guiding strategy and leading engineers and managers to ensure the long-
term stability, supportability, and security of the Rackspace network. Leads all route/switch
networking teams from Operations and Customer Deployments to Engineering to
Architecture. Key responsibilities include managing and reporting against KPIs, guiding
training programs, leading major projects, ensuring effective customer communication, and
performing root cause analysis. I link together internal teams across departments to ensure
collaboration, including support and design functions across product groups. 

Key Results:
Implemented Fleet Software Management program that increased fleet standardization by
65% and reduced network incidents by over 60%, instituted configuration standardization
and maintenance reviews that maintained incidents related to change at less than 2%,
directly supported the integration of networks for a major acquisition.
