Hey Peerlist community! 👋I'm Kai, an indie developer passionate about generative AI. Today I'm excited to share a side project I've been refining: AI Hair Studio.<h3>🤔 The Problem</h3>We've all been there: staring at the mirror, wondering "Is my face Oval or Square?" or "Will bangs look good on me?" Most online guides are vague ("if your jaw is wide..."), and trying a new haircut is a high-risk gamble.<h3>💡 The Solution</h3>I built a 2-step AI tool to solve this:Step 1: The Face Shape Detector (Free Tool) Instead of guessing, I use computer vision (facial landmarks) to calculate your exact facial ratios:<ul><li>Three Courts: Vertical balance (Forehead vs. Nose vs. Chin).</li><li>Five Eyes: Horizontal width balance.</li><li>Face Contour: Jawline angle and cheekbone width.</li></ul>You get a detailed report telling you if you're a Diamond, Heart, or Oval shape, with visualizations of your metrics.Step 2: Virtual Hairstyle Try-On Once you know your shape, you can visualize the result.
