I was chosen as a Fellow alongside 60 odd other Internet Governance practitioners by the Asia Pacific School on Internet Governance(apSIG) secretariat to attend the 2020 edition of their school. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the school was moved from Kathmandu to a virtual format.

As a software engineer, I was responsible for developing and maintaining system software for new and legacy mobile x-ray systems. I carried out feasibility studies on operating a legacy device on a new software platform. As a part of the feasibility study, I developed new user interfaces to accommodate new features. I was instrumental in upgrading an old testing framework to match the new software platform. I also helped setup test automation systems for several legacy products.

I received several awards and recognition from the leadership for my work. I co-led the innovation initiative for Mobile Surgery at Philips Innovation Campus, Bangalore. Through my initiative, the team's contributions to patent submissions increased exponentially. I worked with the new CSR head to re-launch Philips Bangalore's CSR partnership with Smile Foundation which had been dormant in the interim. The campaign facilitated free medical check-ups across 40+ slums in Bangalore each month.

I joined Philips as an intern where I was tasked with design and development of an end-to-end automated test setup to evaluate the sanity of all software releases. In recognition of my work and expertise built on the in-house automation framework, I was offered a job opportunity to continue full-time at Philips after graduation.

I was chosen as an India Fellow by the Indian School on Internet Governance(inSIG) secretariat to attend the 2018 edition of their school. I was also the only fellow to be invited to join a panel discussion on the draft data privacy bill introduced by the Government of India.

I facilitated a public engagement on a draft bill on data privacy that was introduced by Shri. Baijayant Panda(Member of Parliament, Kendrapada, Orrisa). To enable a public discourse, we organized an event at IIT Delhi's management studies's department where Shri. Ravi Shankar Prasad(Minister for IT Electronics& Technology, Law) was invited a keynote speaker. Other panelists included Deepak Maheshwari(Director of Government Affairs, Symantec) Osama Manzer(Founder, Digital Empowerment Foundation), Mishi Choudhary(Founder, Software Freedom Law Centre), Arvind Gupta(Eisenhower Fellow & CEO, MyGov India).

At the Dialogue, I was tasked with researching and writing on the latest policy developments. Apart from authoring a white paper on data protection for GIZ, I also authored numerous articles, reports and policy briefs on AI, industrial revolution 3.0, data privacy etc.

At SPI Cinemas, I was responsible for improving the stock and wastage metrics of the Food & Beverage division. I built a real-time business intelligence dashboard that provided data on the sales performance of different items. This also included analysis of data on supply planning to reduce wastage while ensuring sufficient supply to meet customer demand. I was recognized by the manager for equipping his team with the relevant skills to reduce time in analysis as well as enhance the dashboard further after my tenure.

Data Analytics Extern - Food & Beverage

I rejoined the AP Janmabhoomi program after a year to evaluate the project outcomes midway. I built a visualization dashboard that tracked performance of different districts and constituencies and there by created a competitive ecosystem among them. I also coached and mentored interns from under-developed districts of Andhra Pradesh on various digital tools like spreadsheets, charts, presentations and word processing software, social media platforms, digital wallets etc. They in turn traveled the length and breadth of the state to train both school teacher and locals who lacked elementary skills on utilizing digital aids and tools. This was at a time when both state and central government promoted digitization in the aftermath of demonetization. I also supervised a lean and remote team of developer interns who redesigned and developed the program's website from Wordpress to PHP Laravel which provided better efficiency, performance and usability.

Data Analytics & Visualisation Intern - Office of AP Spl. Rep. to North America

I worked remotely on a Government of India program, the National Mission on Education through ICT. I authored a textbook companion in Python for an AICTE approved book, Antenna Wave Propagation by U.A.Bakshi & A. V. Bakshi. Under the project, millions of engineering students across India continue to benefit from such textbook companions whereby they learn math concepts pertaining to their subject by executing the code provided for example problems.

I joined the APJanmabhoomi program under Shri Jayaram Komati, AP Special Representative to North America during its early stages. I initially researched about the prevailing best practices in digital education across the world that could be adopted under the school digitization program. I also evaluated a suitable financial model whereby NRI donors financed 30% of the the project cost. With a target beneficiary base of 10 Million students, it was crucial to ensure sufficient flow of income to manage budgets. To increase visibility for the program, I successfully launched and managed the Twitter handle of the program which resulted in about an average view count of 45000 in a short span of 1 month without incurring any ad or promotional expenses.

I developed a HR Management platform that handled payroll related process ranging from salary, attendance/leaves, employee records, etc. Unlike traditional scenarios, the organization required a customized solution to handle the distributed and highly volatile nature of contract construction labor spread across multiple geographies.
