Played an active role in a new community idea that serviced the locals that were struggling through COVID. We worked with schools, supermarkets, food donation centers, and local bakeries to get food to provide to people that didn't have food and couldn't afford it. We would always provide freshly stocked food and be of service to the underserved. - Developed my skills for servicing people - Learned how to manage crowds - Helped out as someone to talk to when there were problems

I packed food with other volunteers at YWCA in order to help the growing number of people in need of food. A lot of seniors and people that were in need of food would contact us, and we would provide them with food every week. This program was great, I learned a lot about people that were struggling in the flushing community, and it motivated to keep helping and even bring groups of friends to help volunteer. In the end, I decided to work for a smaller starting program that was also in support of helping the local people that were in need of food.
