About the Role

We’re seeking a driven Applied AI Developer with 1-3 years of experience to join our team. This role is focused on the practical implementation of AI, not pure research. You will operate at the intersection of engineering and experimentation, transforming theoretical AI capabilities (such as LLMs, embeddings, agents, and vector search) into functional prototypes and internal tools that address real-world business challenges.

You will work closely with product and growth teams to rapidly test and deploy AI-driven features, automations, and internal tools. The ideal candidate is a hands-on builder—someone who can prototype quickly and is proficient with tools like LangChain, OpenAI APIs, and various Python frameworks.

What You’ll Do

• Engineer and evaluate LLM prompts to optimize performance and relevance

• Implement Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) systems, leveraging embeddings and vector search for enhanced AI responses

• Utilize toolchains such as LangChain, Pinecone, OpenAI APIs, and Hugging Face to develop AI solutions

• Automate tasks and workflows using AI agents and other intelligent systems.

• Integrate AI functionalities with existing frontend and backend systems (e.g., FastAPI, Streamlit)

• Rapidly develop fast and functional AI prototypes that can evolve into deployable products

• Implement AI-driven solutions across internal workflows and user-facing features

• Create clear documentation and write well-structured, maintainable code

• Engage in iterative experimentation to refine and improve AI models and applications

• Effectively communicate and explain the trade-offs between model accuracy, latency, cost, and feasibility to diverse stakeholders

What You’ll Need

• 1-3 years of experience in applied AI development, focusing on practical implementation rather than pure research

• Demonstrated experience in building and deploying AI prototypes and tools

• Proficiency with AI development tools and frameworks, including LangChain, OpenAI APIs, Pinecone, and Hugging Face

• Strong understanding and practical experience with LLM prompt engineering, retrieval-augmented generation (RAG), embeddings, and vector search

• Experience with task automation using AI agents or sophisticated workflows

• Familiarity with integrating AI solutions into existing software architectures, using frameworks like FastAPI or Streamlit

• A hands-on, self-starting mindset with a strong bias for action and rapid prototyping

• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to adapt to new AI technologies and methodologies

• Strong communication skills to articulate technical concepts and trade-offs to both technical and non-technical audiences

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, or a related technical field (preferred)
