About this Opportunity

We're Not Hiring Marketers. We're Looking for Believers.

Location: Remote (Anywhere in the world)
Compensation: Equity stake in Eintercon
Commitment: 10-15 hours/week
Duration: Minimum 6 months

The Reality

Let me be straight with you: We can't pay you right now. We're a one-month-old startup with 200 users, zero funding, and a founder who's still a student in Ghana splitting time between classes and building.

But here's what we can offer: Equity in something that actually matters.

What Is Eintercon?

We're building a friendship platform that connects people across borders through shared passions. When you match with someone, you have 48 hours to see if the connection is real. Either it sparks, or you both move on.

Why it exists: Because I got tired of watching the world tear itself apart on Twitter one night and decided someone needed to take the first step toward fixing it.

The mission: Prove that you can't hate someone whose story you know. Build genuine connections across borders. Show that peace is built one friendship at a time.

Current traction: 200 users in 30 days with zero marketing budget. People are making their first real friends in years. It's working.

What We Need

We need people who can help us reach the communities that need this most:

Content Creation & Storytelling

  • Turn user success stories into compelling content

  • Create social media posts that don't feel like ads

  • Write threads, blog posts, and articles that make people feel something

  • Document the cross-cultural friendships forming on our platform

Social Media Growth

  • Grow our presence on Twitter/X, Instagram, TikTok, LinkedIn

  • Engage authentically with communities (not spam, actual conversation)

  • Build relationships with micro-influencers who align with our mission

  • Create viral moments that introduce people to Eintercon organically

Community Building

  • Find and engage with online communities that would benefit from Eintercon

  • Partner with student organizations, expat groups, hobby communities

  • Moderate our own community spaces

  • Turn users into advocates

Growth Hacking

  • Launch us on Product Hunt, Hacker News, BetaList

  • Get press coverage (TechCrunch, The Verge, etc.)

  • Find creative distribution channels we haven't thought of

  • Run experiments and measure what works

Who You Are

You're NOT a traditional marketer. You probably don't have "5+ years of B2C SaaS growth marketing experience." That's fine. We don't want that.

You ARE someone who:

  • Believes the world needs more genuine connection, not more followers

  • Can tell stories that make people stop scrolling and think "whoa"

  • Understands emotional marketing better than growth hacking formulas

  • Is tired of working on products that don't matter

  • Wants equity in something with a mission, not just an exit

  • Can work autonomously (I'm building the product; you own marketing)

  • Is okay with scrappy—we're bootstrapped and figuring it out as we go

Bonus points if you:

  • Have personal experience with loneliness or friendship struggles (most of us do)

  • Have lived internationally or value cross-cultural connection

  • Have built something from zero before

  • Are good at writing (storytelling is our biggest asset)

  • Have a following in relevant communities already

What You'll Get

Equity

  • 0.5% - 2% equity stake depending on experience, commitment, and impact

  • Vesting over 2 years with 6-month cliff

  • Standard startup equity agreement (we'll do this properly)

Ownership

  • You'll own marketing completely. I trust you to figure out what works.

  • Direct access to founder (me). No layers of bureaucracy.

  • Freedom to experiment and try things that might fail

Impact

  • Help 200 users become 10,000 users become 100,000 users

  • Watch real friendships form because of your work

  • Build something that might actually make the world less divided

  • Portfolio piece that shows you can take something from 0 to meaningful

Learning

  • Experience building a brand from scratch

  • Skills in storytelling, community building, growth marketing

  • Reference from founder for future opportunities

  • Network with other early team members

What Success Looks Like

Month 1-3:

  • Help us reach 1,000 active users

  • Establish our voice and presence on 2-3 key platforms

  • Create 5-10 pieces of compelling content that get shared

  • Launch on Product Hunt with strong showing

Month 4-6:

  • Scale to 5,000 users

  • Get press coverage in at least one major publication

  • Build organic growth channels (SEO, community partnerships, etc.)

  • Create user-generated content flywheel

Month 7-12:

  • 10,000+ users

  • Recognizable brand in the friend-making space

  • Multiple organic growth channels running

  • Marketing foundation for seed fundraising
