Product Designer (UX/UI)

AllyMatter is a knowledge and document management platform built for growing teams. We help organizations centralize documentation, run approval workflows, track policy acknowledgments, and stay compliant - without enterprise-level complexity or cost. We're pre-launch, moving fast, and building something that teams will actually use.

We're looking for a Product Designer to own the design of AllyMatter end-to-end.

The Role

This is a 6-month contractor engagement, not a full-time hire. Compensation is quoted in USD and paid in the INR equivalent at the time of invoicing.

You won't be executing specs handed to you. You'll work directly with the founder, identify friction points across the product, and make real design decisions. The expectation is ownership - of the UX quality, the design system, and the public-facing pages - with continuous iteration as we onboard our first real users.

What You'll Do

• Own design across core product flows: document management, approval workflows, access control, and acknowledgment tracking

• Audit the existing product and identify the highest-impact UX improvements

• Build and maintain a scalable design system in Figma

• Redesign public-facing pages for clarity and conversion

• Translate user feedback into concrete design improvements

• Work closely with engineering to ensure accurate implementation

• Contribute product thinking - not just design execution

What We're Looking For

SaaS product design experience is non-negotiable. We need someone who has worked on a B2B SaaS product and understands how design decisions connect to user behavior and business outcomes. If your background is primarily in marketing design, branding, or agency work, this isn't the right fit.

Beyond that:

• Strong Figma skills — components, auto layout, prototyping, handoff

• Ability to build a design system from scratch

• Sharp UX instincts — you can identify broken flows before users report them

• Product thinking — you have opinions on what should be built and why

• Comfortable working async and independently

Nice to Have

• Experience designing for HR, compliance, or operations tools

• Familiarity with knowledge management or documentation platforms

• Basic HTML/CSS understanding

Engagement Details

• 6-month contract with potential to extend based on mutual fit

• Fully remote

• Compensation in USD, paid in INR equivalent. This ad shows estimated annual compensation
