Data Labeling Service, part of the Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI), is the first step in the machine learning pipeline. The data needs to be labeled and classified accurately before it can be sued to train an ML model. Data Labeling Service makes this possible by providing an intuitive UI to label images, text files, CSV, and documents using annotation types like Object Detection, NER, classification.
My Roles:
Designed the UI’s architecture and components from the inception of the project.
Developed the core labeling UI for rendering images and PDF files; developed the component that is used to draw bounding boxes in the images and record their coordinates relative to the image.
Deployed the new service release multiple times across 28 regions globally using automated tools.
Worked with the UX designers for the initial design as well continuous improvement of the UI.
Mentored new joiners in the team and helped them ramp up for the development process.
