Head of Product Design

As the director of user experience, I oversee the design of student information systems and CRM products. I'm responsible for creating an environment for designers that encourages learning, growth, and collaboration not just within design, but cross-functionally. I aid our organization in growing our products to meet the challenges students and institutions face in the rapidly changing industry of higher education.

Director Of User Experience

Over the course of almost 4 years at Capital One, I lead design for manufacturing for the Project Elements Card, publishing 8+ patents innovating the manufacturing process of credit cards from different materials. My second project was to lead an e-commerce initiative for virtual card tokenization for a co-branded checkout experience with Mastercard and what later became part of Capital One Eno. I managed a team of internal and external design resources. My last project was to scale Capital One's Money Coaching service from a pilot to a nationwide service and campaign. This program helped people at our cafe's speak to a certified life coach about their financial stress for free. I lead the design initiative to build digital tools to make this happen on a nationwide scale.

Lead the design of a suite of grassroots technology for an action management system leveraging real-time analytics to drive modern political campaigns.

User Experience Lead

Assist in the development of UX practice for Tata Consulting Services. Includes educating user experience practice internally as well as evangelizing clients. Key responsibilities include: grow business development efforts for user experience initiatives. Lead end to end design efforts and present working solutions to the C level executives.

Responsibilities include leading junior team members in design activities, effective communication with client & internal teams and producing high-quality deliverables in alignment to project deadlines and budget.

Senior Information Architect

Lead the industrial design of access radio control (ARC) products from 2010 to 2013 including the internet gateway for LiftMaster and Chamberlain brands as well as the first versions of the MyQ app that allowed users to check the status and open and close garage doors and lights with the app. 

Key responsibilities included: packaging design, industrial design, ux design, wireframes, preparing quarterly presentations for board review as well as conducting ethnographic research, user research, user testing and human factors analysis. I worked on everything from ideation to quality assurance on manufactured products off the line. 

ID / UX Designer

Designed the user experience for Microsoft Word add-ons for the legal and life science industries. Key responsibilities included wireframes, visual design, building a design library, development hand-offs, contributing to product specification documents, practicing adherence to microsoft design standards and building knowledge of designing with visual studio.
