Gained Knowledge of the refinery operations - the main units and their capacity.
practical aspects like fire and safety training, general, safety guidelines to be followed inside the refinery, work permit system, process safety, management etc. We also got to learn the functioning of each individual block i.e., FCC, CDU, MEROX, Flare system, DHDS and DHT, MS block, Boilers, CPP and ETP.
The project helped us understand how to apply our theoretical knowledge of fluid mechanics in
the practical scenario of installing a motor-operated valve in a pipeline while meeting the NPSH
requirement of a pump and maintaining its functionality.
