<h3>I developed quran-search-engine-mcp, a tool that enables accurate Quran search with any AI that supports MCP.</h3>Instead of allowing AI models to guess or generate Quranic text, every Quran-related query is routed directly to an MCP server powered by the quran-search-engine package, which also powers our Open Mushaf application. The server returns the exact, verbatim Quranic text, eliminating hallucinations entirely.<h3>The AI is limited to understanding and structuring the query, while all Quranic content is retrieved from a trusted source and remains fully accurate. Personal experience</h3>Practical example: I tried searching for:“Search for the Prophet Yunus with all synonyms” The result included verses related to the name Yunus in all its forms and synonyms: Yunus, the people of Yunus, and even Dhul-Nun. Even when I restricted the search to the name only, the results were extremely accurate.<h3>This shows that the engine understands context and word synonyms, while the actual search is handled by quran-search-engine, leaving no room for hallucination. Conclusion</h3>quran-search-engine-mcp turns any MCP-compatible AI into a reliable source for Quranic search. Everything goes through the server, the texts are always correct, and the AI only handles the query.This opens the door for educational applications, smart assistants, or any project that needs trustworthy, realistic Quran search without hallucinations.

Quran Search Engine is a stateless, pure TypeScript search engine designed for Quranic text. It offers advanced features such as Arabic normalization, exact text search, lemma and root matching through morphology and word maps, and UI-agnostic highlight ranges. Unlike many Quran search solutions, this engine is not tightly coupled to a UI, is fully client-side or server-side, and is both stateless and deterministic.
