Day 5/21 - Design a Subscription Cancellation Flow by K N Abhishika
Designed the subscription cancellation flow for a music streaming app:
- Clear Communication of Premium Benefits
Concise messaging ensures users understand the value of their premium subscription, helping them make informed decisions.
- Personalized User Experience
Using personalized copy, such as "We’ll miss having you around, Eva," fosters a connection with users and enhances their overall experience.
- Primary CTA to Encourage Retention
After showcasing premium benefits, a prominent CTA urges users to stay, reinforcing the advantages of their subscription.
- Reason for Cancellation with Dynamic Offers
When users select cancellation, they’re prompted to provide a reason. Based on their feedback, tailored discounts appear, promoting retention without overwhelming the user.
- Pause Your Subscription Option
Instead of cancelling outright, users are presented with a "Pause Your Subscription" button, allowing them to retain access while taking a break.
- Personalized Cancellation Confirmation
Upon cancellation, users receive a message like "We're sorry to see you go," expressing empathy and understanding of their decision.
- Easy Reactivation Instructions
A clear "Reactivate Your Premium" CTA is provided, along with guidance that reactivation can be done anytime through account settings, ensuring users know how to return when they’re ready.
