My First Interview Experience

Today I gave the interview, and I was very nervous. My heartbeat kept getting faster and faster, and I did not know why. I joined the meeting, where two members had already joined. I said "hello everyone" to relax myself. After some time, they asked me the first question usually asked in any interview: "Saurabh, tell me about yourself."

I answered with basic English like this: "I am Saurabh Wankhade pursuing my bachelor degree in computer science and I had done diploma in computer engineering from Murtizapur, in diploma I learn about android development and done some project in degree I am learning web dev like I had done JS and ReactJS currently I am learning Node JS that is."

After that, they asked me basic questions about my project, which is UrjaSolar, and some tech questions about React. They asked me one question like "what is key in list?" I said "what?" and they repeated the question, "Do you know key in list in React?" Then I said, "sorry sir, I don’t," and we moved to the next question. After that, they started asking questions on SQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, and the differences between them. I told them, “Sir I don’t work on this but I have basic understanding on this basic I told them."

After that, they told me about their product and how their company works. My interview ended there.

They asked if I had any questions, so I asked them, "Can you tell me what do you think about my communication?" They responded, "you must work on your communication. Lots of time you stuck while giving the answer."

Learning from this:

This experience taught me the importance of English communication skills. Knowing technical concepts is valuable, but if I cannot explain my thoughts clearly, it limits my effectiveness. I am committed to improving my communication skills from here on out.
