(Ongoing User Research Project)
With mental health challenges rising—especially among young people—digital therapy apps are becoming an essential solution. But are they really meeting user needs?
In this ongoing project, I’m exploring the gap between user expectations and the current experience of online mental health apps. My focus is on understanding how well these apps support young users dealing with anxiety, depression, and stress, especially in remote or underserved areas.
Through user interviews, competitor analysis, and behavior studies, I aim to uncover what users truly need in terms of safety, emotional support, simplicity, and effectiveness—and how app limitations like poor design or lack of trust affect their journey.
This research is a deep dive into how we can design emotionally supportive, user-friendly, and secure mental health platforms, using tech like AI and telehealth responsibly.
