How a small audio feature made a big impact on our website's user experience
As a product designer at Bizzscribe, I'm always on the lookout for ways to make our website more intuitive and engaging. Recently, I tackled a common problem: helping new visitors quickly understand what we do without overwhelming them with info. Here's how I solved it.
The Problem: Getting the Point Across
When people land on our site, they often wonder what Bizzscribe is all about. Usually, they'd have to scroll through the whole website or read a ton of text to find out. Not ideal. I wanted to find a way to introduce our platform in a clear and concise way, right from the start.
The Solution: A "What is Bizzscribe?" Audio Button
I added a simple play button in the header with a text that says "What is Bizzscribe?". When you click it, a short audio clip explains what we do. It's quick, easy, and doesn't disrupt the user experience. I figured, why not give users an option to learn about us in a more engaging way?
Why It Works
This little feature has some big benefits:
It's accessible - great for people who prefer listening or have visual impairments.
It's convenient - users can get the gist of what we do without digging through the site.
The Result
I'm happy with how it turned out. It's a small change, but it makes a difference. Now, users can quickly understand what Bizzscribe is about, and that's a win in my book.
