Modern era and modern way to do coding :/
Okay, let's talk straight.
Look, there's a real joy in coding – spending hours on it, using your brain, and when that program finally runs perfectly, it's a different feeling altogether! I learned the same way. I did everything myself from A to Z, without any AI tools. Figuring out logic, and if there were bugs, I'd solve them alone, even late at night – I've seen all of that. So yes, I can definitely write code without AI, easily.
But, to be honest, I wouldn't want to code without AI now.
And it's not because I don't want to work hard or I've become lazy. Not at all! This is just about working smart. Think about it: if you have a bike, would you walk a long distance just because you know how to walk? It would feel a bit strange, right? AI tools are something like that.
The very first thing – speed, my friend! It saves so much time! You know those small, repetitive tasks, like writing basic code or doing setups? AI does them in a snap. What happens because of this? We can use our brains for bigger and more important tasks – like thinking about the software's design and solving difficult problems. In simple words, you save time from the less important tasks and focus on the real work!
Secondly, AI is like a super helpful friend. Ever got stuck while coding, not understanding what the mistake is? Ask AI; it often gives good suggestions. Want to learn a new technology? AI makes things easier by giving examples and explanations. It's like having a senior colleague who's always ready to help.
And yes, the quality of the code also gets better. AI tools have seen millions of lines of code, so they can often tell you how to make your code better and run faster. They also catch small errors that we might miss.
Yes, I know, people have some worries too. For example:
"If we use AI, our coding skills will become weak!"
"What if AI gives the wrong code?"
"Will AI take our jobs?"
These questions are absolutely valid. If you blindly depend on AI, then yes, your skills can weaken, and you might get incorrect code too. Blindly copy-pasting is just foolish.
Because I know how to code well without AI, I can use AI in the right way. I can understand what AI is saying and whether its suggestion is correct or not. If it makes a mistake (and AI makes mistakes too, believe me!), I can catch it and fix it.
So, you need to use AI like a tool, not like a master. If you know how to drive a car, only then can you take full advantage of GPS, right? If the GPS shows the wrong route, you can still reach the right place using your own understanding. It's the same with AI.
Technology is always changing, my friend. We can't just stick to old methods if better and new methods are coming along. AI is also one such better method.
I can write code like we used to before. But when the same work can be done faster, and often better, using AI, then why shouldn't I use AI? This is being smart, not lazy. My core coding skills actually help me use AI in an even more powerful way.
"Therefore, yes, I can code without AI, but I won't. Be smart, use tools correctly, and move forward! That's all I wanted to say."
