So… I kept telling myself I’d write every day. Spoiler: I didn’t.
Then I built a little thing called Riikee to guilt-trip myself into actually doing it.
What it does:
You set a daily writing goal (like 750 words).
It tracks whether you actually hit it.
It shows stats for streaks, monthly/quarterly totals, etc. (because apparently I only feel good if I see numbers going up).
The idea came from Morning Pages in Julia Cameron’s The Artist’s Way. I figured: the best way to get better at writing is to just… write, every single day. But I’m bad at accountability, so I built a robot to nag me.
Right now it’s in pre-release, and I’m wondering if I’m the only one who would find this useful.
Would you:
Actually want a daily writing tracker?
Care about streaks/stats?
Want something more than just word count tracking?
If anyone’s curious, DM me and II’d just love to hear what would make you actually stick to daily writing.
