BrightBean: YouTube intelligence API for developers and AI agents
BrightBean is a YouTube intelligence API. Not a dashboard. It's built for developers building creator tools, YouTube SEO platforms, content workflows, or AI agents that need structured YouTube data without scraping.
The YouTube Data API v3 gives you raw numbers. Views, subscribers, upload dates. BrightBean gives you the layer on top: what to publish, whether your title will get clicks, and how your first 15 seconds stack up against videos that actually retain viewers.
Here's what the API covers:
Content gap analysis. High search demand on YouTube, few quality videos covering the topic. Your users know what to publish next.
Title scoring and optimization. Score any title for click-through potential and get specific suggestions to improve it.
Thumbnail CTR prediction. Test thumbnail performance before you hit publish.
Hook analysis. Compare the first 15 seconds of any video transcript against top performers in the same niche.
You can integrate via REST API or connect through an MCP server if you're building with LLMs or AI agents.
Why this exists
vidIQ has 20M users. TubeBuddy has 10M. Neither has a public API. We went through G2 and Chrome Web Store reviews and found 20+ one-star ratings specifically complaining about the lack of API access. YouTube has 31M+ channels and there's no API-first intelligence tool serving them. That's the gap.
Three pricing tiers: Starter at $19/mo, Pro at $99/mo, Agency at $399/mo.
