I built Idea Validator as a fun experiment to help founders (and honestly, myself) test startup ideas before getting too emotionally or financially invested.
It’s a simple web app that walks you through a structured series of questions — inspired by books like The Mom Test, Testing Business Ideas, and Tom Eisenmann’s Why Startups Fail. Behind the scenes, it uses a scoring framework to nudge you toward asking the right questions:
Are you solving a real problem?
Have you talked to people outside your bubble?
Is there any actual demand, or are you just wishcasting?
At the end, you get a result like:
✅ Promising, ⚠️ Needs More Validation, or ❌ Red Flag Idea — with a score and verdict you can reflect on (or ignore, that’s also fine 😄).
The core ideology?
“Founders don’t fail because they can’t build — they fail because they build things nobody wants.”
This tool is my small contribution to avoiding that fate. No signups. No AI fluff. Just a clean, fast, idea-checker for anyone with a startup itch.
