When the COVID pandemic paralyzed the educational system, there were only a few if not zero distance learning apps developed for very young kids. Our web application, Learn with Chucky, had a simple learn and quiz mode that produced results as effective as an in-person learning class. We tried to achieve this goal by incorporating principles of gamification in our application. Since children still need monitoring, we used a logistic regression model trained for our application to make it easier for teachers and parents to predict the performance of a child. This was not a replacement for in-person school but a supporting app for students and teachers. It helps to improve the performance of students, stimulate the interest of an uninterested child, and help students continue learning in the middle of a pandemic or some other unfortunate situation.
