Last weekend of 2025, I found an old saved screenshot on my phone of a very clean to-do app I had seen on Twitter. It looked simple and fresh, so I decided to build something similar.

I also wanted to experiment with Kombai (a new frontend AI tool), so this became the perfect side project to try it out. This have complete AI slop codebase

The app's concept is straightforward. You only have two types of tasks:

• Things you need to get done today, like find the book and put it on my father’s desk

• Things you want to do someday, like: buy a PS5

There is no editing or deleting yet, mainly because I am still not sure if I even want those features. Sometimes simplicity is better.

I first started making it as a mobile app with Capacitor, but then I switched to a PWA because I didn’t want to deal with the long app approval process.

It only supports the system theme for now. Because getting the status bar color to match the app theme in dark mode was painful, so I skipped it.
