Judging Criteria

User Experience

We will assess how effective, intuitive, visually appealing, and user-friendly the project is.

Technicality

Evaluate problem complexity and your solution approach. Code structure and cleanliness matters.

Originality

Assessing if your project is an original concept or if there are existing projects that resemble it.

Feasibility

Assessing market success potential, target market, value proposition, and competition.

Presentation

Your ability to communicate and pitch the project through a compelling story.

Delightful-ness

Extra points for any outstanding aspects that are not mentioned in the above criteria.

  1. What is the theme for this hackathon?

    Build what you wish to exist. There is no specific theme.

  2. What's the allowed team size?

    Teams can have up to 3 members.

  3. Can we integrate external APIs or libraries?

    Yes, you can use external APIs and libraries in your project as long as you properly credit their usage.

  4. Where can I host the project?

    You can host your project on any service of your choice like Appwrite, Railway, GitHub Pages, Vercel, Netlify, etc. The project should be publicly accessible, is the only criteria.

  5. Do I need to share my code?

    Yes, and we recommend sharing your codebase GitHub, GitLab or BitBucket repos.

  6. Can we work or old or ongoing projects?

    Yes. You can work on old projects, but your project will be judged on the features you add during the hackathon.

  7. How will plagiarism be detected?

    Plagiarism may be identified through manual reviews, code comparison and similarity checks with existing projects.

  8. How do I ensure a respectful behaviour during the hackathon?

    All participants must adhere to a code of conduct, fostering a positive and inclusive environment for everyone throughout the event.

  9. Can I launch my hackathon project on Project Launchpad?

    Absolutely.
