Inspiration
Mental tension is on the rise due to heavy workloads and social media. Violent gaming, especially among children and adults, exacerbates this issue. Unlike the past, where outdoor activities were common, many now prefer violent mobile games, negatively affecting their mental health. To address this, we created "AI-powered Puzzle_Hack" - a game designed to improve mental well-being through engaging and non-violent puzzles.
What it Does
The AI-powered Flutter Puzzle app enhances mental health by offering a relaxing and engaging puzzle game. Users can solve numerical puzzles manually or with a voice assistant, choosing from three difficulty levels (3x3, 4x4, 5x5). The game features soothing background music to aid concentration and supports multiple languages. Assistance options include hints, shuffles, or resets as needed. AI-driven voice commands and error popups ensure smooth gameplay.
How We Built It
We built the app using Flutter as the main framework. For speech recognition, we used the speech-to-text Flutter package. Background music is provided by Flame and Flame Audio players. We used Redux and Flutter_redux for state management, Lottie for animations and popups, Google Fonts for custom fonts, and flutter-vector-icons for icons.
Challenges We Ran Into
Learning Flutter from scratch was challenging. We faced issues with speech-to-movement packages causing app crashes and troubleshooting microphone functionality in noisy environments. Despite these challenges, we found effective solutions and persevered.
Accomplishments That We're Proud Of
We developed a functional mobile app within 42 hours, mastering several new tools and frameworks. Our ability to manage time effectively and maintain focus under pressure was a significant achievement.
What We Learned
We gained proficiency in Flutter and Google Auto Text Translation, improved our time management skills, and implemented various algorithms to optimize app performance.
