Shelter is the secure, easy-to-manage tool that ensures the people you care about will have access to all of your physical and digital assets. Shelter safely stores everything the people you care about will need to know after you're gone.
Key Features
- Security: Your data is encrypted before it reaches our server, which means that even we can't look at it. Only you and your loved ones, at the appropriate time, will be able to view it.
- Access Management: Easily organize and securely store your most important accounts, documents, and assets in a centralized, encrypted vault, ensuring they're always safe and accessible.
- Onboarding: Shelter provides a smooth onboarding experience that helps you identify and access the most common asset types and accounts securely.
- Regular Check-ins: As life goes on, you'll get poked to update your Shelter — add new assets, remove old accounts, and keep your information current. Get reminded every few weeks, every few months, or every year and stay fresh.
Benefits
- Peace of Mind: When you're gone, your key contacts will have peace of mind knowing that they can manage your affairs and have access to all of your accounts and assets to administer your estate.
- Organization: Your Shelter Dashboard will easily organize everything your heirs need to know and can be updated at any time, with everything divided into 5 folders.
- Simple sharing: Grant access to trusted family members, ensuring they have everything they need when they need it most.
Use Case
Losing a loved one is one of the most difficult things we all go through. If you're in charge of a parent's estate, or if your spouse was the primary breadwinner and manager of the household, then it becomes your responsibility to handle what they did and had access to (bank accounts, retirement accounts, real estate, physical assets). Shelter walks users through an easy to setup onboarding where they can organize this information before they need it; either working with an elderly parent or making sure their children and spouse are taken care of.
