Software Developer - Summer Intern

What You’ll Do

• Design & Implement Features: Work on real-world projects, taking features from initial concept through to deployment while ensuring scalability and performance.

• Collaborate on Technical Strategy: Participate in the full Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC), ensuring that "quality-by-design" is baked into every feature from day one.

• Solve Complex Problems: Use your creative thinking to tackle difficult challenges and find elegant solutions to technical bottlenecks.

• Collaborate with Product Stakeholders: Work closely with the Product Team to translate business requirements into robust, functional software that delivers value to our customers.

• Write Clean, Testable Code: Pair with your teammates to write maintainable, high-quality code, utilizing unit testing and integration testing to ensure reliability.

• Embrace Full-Stack Visibility: Utilise your observability stack to proactively identify and resolve issues before they impact our users, adopting a “shift-right” approach.

• Debug & Optimize: Investigate complex system behaviors and perform root cause analysis on bugs, diving deep into the codebase to improve stability.

The Person

• Currently enrolled in a university degree (e.g., Computer science or STEM-related field).

• On track to achieve a minimum 2.1 degree (or the equivalent) at an accredited college or university.

• Innovative & Proactive: Someone who demonstrates strong initiative and isn't discouraged by taking on challenges in new areas.

• Strong Communicator: Ability to exhibit clear, professional, and effective communication skills.

• Interested in all things technical with a passion for technology.

• An inquisitive nature, with good analytical and problem solving skills.
