Work Period: May 2026 to August 2026

Location & Schedule:

This is a full-time, 40-hour-per-week position with 2 days per week onsite in Needham, MA, and remaining days worked remotely.  There is no relocation or housing assistance for this position.

Compensation Range: Ranges from $28/hr - $37/hr. Specific compensation is set according to a standardized scale aligned with your educational level at the time of hire.

This role:

Do you love solving problems with data? Are you excited by the opportunity to use machine learning, statistics, and experimentation to shape smarter products and better business decisions? If so, the Data Science Internship at SharkNinja is for you. 

As part of our data science team, you’ll gain hands-on experience applying statistical modeling, machine learning, and data storytelling to real-world problems. You’ll work closely with data engineers, analysts, and product stakeholders to turn data into actionable insights that drive product innovation and customer impact. 

 Here are some of the EXCITING things you’ll get to do:

• Model Development & Prototyping: Build and test machine learning models on real product and business datasets.

• Data Wrangling: Clean, explore, and transform data using Python, SQL, and common data science libraries.

• Visualization & Storytelling: Create dashboards and visualizations that make insights clear to technical and non-technical stakeholders.

• Collaboration: Partner with engineers, analysts, and business teams to define data science opportunities and translate results into impact.

• Learning Modern Tools: Gain exposure to AI ML tools and platforms 

 ATTRIBUTES & SKILLS:

• Education: Current student in their third year or beyond of a bachelor's program, or currently enrolled in a master’s or doctorate program

• Must be able to work a full-time, 40-hour-per-week schedule with 2 days per week onsite in Needham, MA

• Pursuing a STEM degree program

• Must have used SQL within academic projects or in prior internship settings

• Knowledge of Python knowledge preferred

• Exposure to data science libraries

• Strong foundation in statistics, probability, and data analysis.

• Intellectual curiosity with a problem-solving mindset and attention to detail.

• Ability to explain analytical results clearly and collaborate with diverse stakeholders.

• Experience with data visualization tools (Power BI, Tableau, or matplotlib/seaborn/Plotly) is a plus.

• Familiarity with cloud data platforms or big data tools is desirable.
