Data Engineer Intern

About the Role:

We are looking for a Data Engineer Intern with expertise on in Python, Redshift, Kafka, and MySQL to join our data team. This role offers a great opportunity to work on large-scale data pipelines, optimize database performance, and contribute to real-time data streaming solutions.

Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain data pipelines using Python and ETL frameworks.

• Preferred with Amazon Redshift to build and optimize data warehouses.

• Implement real-time data streaming solutions using Kafka.

• Write efficient queries and manage relational databases in MySQL.

• Collaborate with data scientists and analysts to ensure data availability and integrity.

• Monitor and improve system performance, scalability, and reliability.

• Assist in data migration, transformation, and automation processes.

Required Qualifications:

• Preferred experience with Python for data processing and automation.

• Preferred with Amazon Redshift, including schema design and query optimization.

• Understanding of Kafka for event-driven data processing.

• Proficiency in MySQL, including writing complex queries and performance tuning.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

• Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure) is a plus.

• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
