Claude Code / AI Intern

We're building a private equity platform for the AI era. We acquire mission-critical vertical SaaS companies ($1-10M ARR) and transform them using AI and modern technology. We're a team of former investors from Accel, backed by some of the world's leading technology investors including Reef Pass, Prosus Ventures, Accel, and the founders of Mainsail and TCV. We've raised >$50M and acquired four companies in less than nine months.

Role Overview

We're looking for a Claude Code / AI Intern to work alongside our founders and help build the AI-powered infrastructure behind Recur. You'll be shipping real projects from week one - building internal tools and automations, prototyping AI workflows for our portfolio companies, and finding creative ways to make a small team operate like one ten times its size.

What You'll Do

• Build internal tools, automations, and workflows using Claude Code and AI-native development tools

• Prototype AI-powered features and processes for Recur's portfolio companies

• Research and test new AI tools, frameworks, and techniques - then figure out how we can actually use them

• Help design and improve Recur's internal systems for deal sourcing, diligence, and portfolio operations

• Work directly with the founders on high-priority projects that change week to week

• Document what you build so the team can maintain and extend it

What We're Looking For

• Genuine obsession with AI tools - you've used Claude Code, Cursor, or similar tools to build real projects (not just toy demos)

• A builder's mindset: you see a manual process and immediately think "I can automate that"

• Comfortable working with code, even if you're not a traditional software engineer - scrappy and resourceful beats formal CS every time

• Self-directed and organised: you can take a vague brief and turn it into a working prototype

• Curious and fast-learning - you pick up new tools in hours, not weeks

• Studying or recently graduated in any field - we care about what you've built, not what you studied

Location

Flexible - remote-friendly with the option to work from our New York or Chicago offices.

Compensation

Paid internship. Compensation depends on experience and hours.
