Job Summary

As an Experienced Software Engineer on the Data Services team at NetApp you will be part of the Trident program that brought the first open-source, out-of-tree dynamic storage provisioner to Kubernetes! You will play a key role in defining and delivering solutions for Backup and Recovery of Kubernetes Applications. Our team at NetApp develops innovative and unique solutions to assist our customers in solving the challenges of persistent storage consumption for Kubernetes applications and other container technologies. We work closely with upstream communities to provide code and leadership in defining the persistent storage strategy in these areas. An ideal candidate for this position enjoys learning new technologies, driven to produce results, collaborative, curious and creative. He/she strives to excel in their day-to-day work and will continue to produce high quality results without anyone looking over their shoulders. They will bring broad experience in full stack development with a focus on UI development.

Job Requirements

• Build the next generation of backup and disaster recovery products that closely align with the company’s mission of helping customers store, protect and govern their data with NetApp.

• Work with cross functional teams in designing and developing solutions for SaaS platforms.

• Be the UI/UX expert in the team to deliver solutions with best user experience.

• While keeping focus on UI, extend your skills to backend development as full stack developer.

  
  

Skills:

• Participate in product design, development, unit testing, test automation, troubleshooting, and delivery of a system or major subsystems

• Lead and participate in technical discussions within the team and with other groups across Business Units associated with evaluating and executing design and development plans for products

• Willing to work on additional tasks and responsibilities that will contribute towards team, department, and company goals

• Sound knowledge and Hands-on experience in developing web applications using React & its ecosystem, JavaScript, Typescript and frameworks.

• Experience in developing common UI components & libraries in React.

•  Experience with API programming using REST

• Good understanding of Kubernetes and Docker solutions is needed.

• Development experience with Go or any object oriented programming language is preferred.

• Experience with Cloud Technologies and Saas platforms is desired

• Knowledge of design patterns and architectural patterns

• Solid understanding of concepts related to computer architecture, data structures, and standard programming practices

  
  

Education

Typically requires a minimum of 5 years of related experience with a bachelor's or master's degree in a related field.
