Software Engineer

Build the infrastructure that makes AI search instant.

Our search API handles millions of queries across 100+ languages, our models run on everything from phones to GPUs, and our vector stores need to be faster than thought. We need exceptional backend engineers to make it all work at scale.

You'll:

• Design systems that serve billions of queries

• Build distributed training infrastructure for next-gen models

• Optimize everything from CUDA kernels to API response times

• Ship features that directly impact millions of developers

• Work on hard problems: multimodal search, streaming LLM responses, real-time model updates

You are:

• Obsessed with performance and elegant system design

• Comfortable across the stack (but backend is your home)

• Excited by distributed systems and ML infrastructure

• A great communicator who can explain complex ideas simply

• A user of the AI

You've:

• Built backend systems that handle serious scale

• Worked with Python, Ray, and Rust in production

• Optimized ML models or inference systems

• Contributed to open source projects

• Shipped APIs that developers love

• Or have the grit to do all of the above

Compensation

• Base salary: $120K - $240K

• Equity: Significant equity package - we're one of the first 10 hires
