About this Opportunity
We are looking for talented, engaged software engineers to join our teams who are passionate about working on highly available, low latency backend services that form the backbone of our authentication experience for hundreds of millions of users across the globe. You’ll be directly helping with the evolution of Spotify’s overall authentication infrastructure while also being able to innovate to create better, more seamless user experiences to help users access Spotify.
Work across the stack in a cross-functional team that helps deliver a magical experience to all of our users around the world
Design, develop, deploy and optimize high-efficiency backend services with a focus on high availability, low latency, and scalability
Deliver testable, maintainable, and high-quality code
Share knowledge, promote standard methodologies, and collaborate with equally passionate members of your team
Take operational responsibility for the services that are owned by your team, potentially including taking part in an on-call rotation

Have a proven understanding of Java
You are interested in keeping up with current standard methodologies in your areas of expertise
You know and care about sound engineering practices like continuous delivery, defensive programming, and automated testing
You have a good understanding of data structures and algorithms, and understand how to apply them to craft pragmatic solutions
Knowledge in one or more areas of Web, Data or Mobile Engineering is a definite plus
You are not afraid to learn new skills in order to help your team achieve its goals.

This role is based in London.
We offer you the flexibility to work where you work best! There will be some in person meetings, but still allows for flexibility to work from home.
