About this Opportunity
At HeadSpin, we’re building powerful tools that give developers, QA teams, and product managers deep visibility into how their apps perform across devices and networks. As an Associate Product Designer, you’ll work on real-world problems from day one, helping us craft intuitive, scalable solutions in a space that’s deeply technical but full of opportunity for design to make a difference.
As an Associate Product Designer, you’ll work closely with a senior designer, product managers, and engineers to shape intuitive, delightful user experiences. You’ll have the opportunity to learn by doing, contributing to real features released to customers, and building a strong foundation in product design in a fast-moving environment.
Partner with product designer, engineers, product managers, product marketing and others to ensure new products have a vision and strategy aligning user needs with business objectives
Run UX research as needed to validate ideas and designs while helping with other UX research as need arises
Oversee and participate as-needed in the end-to-end product design process, from concept and strategy, to wireframing, prototyping, user testing and final execution
Ensure new product features and technical explorations have a deep understanding of how people might use them and are grounded in the delivery of user values
Have prior experience and a strong portfolio of end-to-end product design projects rolled out to users
Have worked in a product org with engineers and product managers in a pod / squad model
Prior experience with design of a SaaS or a web-based product product is heavily preferred
Passionate about thorough documentation to ensure clear communication and seamless collaboration in the design process
Proficient in Figma, demonstrating expertise in collaborative design tools
Strong communication skills
Strong attention to details (to the pixel)
Very organized when building complex sites/web apps
Experience with mobile apps, devices or HeadSpin is a plus
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in design
Exposure to developer tools or technical products
Interest in performance monitoring, observability, or testing platforms
Basic knowledge of HTML/CSS or how things are built on the web
