About this Opportunity

What We’re Building

At General Intelligence Company (GIC), we’re building highly-capable autonomous agents for startups. Our goal is to enable the one-person, one-billion-dollar company. Our agents don’t just automate workflows—they replace them. We need a talented designer to help make our interface intuitive, functional, and fast.

Our system is powerful, but we need someone to refine the experience. We’re looking for someone who thinks like a designer but codes like an engineer—someone who can translate raw intelligence into a seamless user experience.

What You’ll Do

  • Own the frontend user experience and build wireframes for our agents product.

  • Create beautiful software.

  • Build fast, clean, and modular UI components.

  • Work directly with our founding team to define user interactions.

  • Own a design system on a complex app.

  • Optimize for speed, usability, and accessibility.

  • Work in fast, iterative cycles — we maintain no backlog.

  • Talk to users, conduct UX audits, implement feedback.

  • Translate our core principles into product:

    • Cycle time is key. You ship quickly and iterate.

    • Quality matters. Your work stands on its own.

    • No backlogs. Build what’s needed, when it’s needed.

    • FITFO. You figure things out independently.

    • Ownership mindset. You think and act like an owner.

Who You Are

  • You have a 2+ years of experience in UX/UI design.

  • You have designed live production-quality software.

  • You have a strong aesthetic instinct and can articulate good design.

  • You notice things about the world with good and bad user experience in your every day life.

  • You have a portfolio of software and design you can share.

  • You move fast and have experience in high-velocity teams.

  • You thrive in high-agency environments and take initiative.

  • You’re excited by AI and shaping the future of work.

The Stack

  • Figma for design.

  • You must use cursor or other similar AI IDE tooling for prototyping.

What’s Different About GIC?

  • No bureaucracy. We hire smart, high-agency people and let them work.

  • Real ownership. You won’t just push tickets—you’ll shape the product.

  • Small, elite team. Work directly with founders and have a major impact.

  • Craft matters. Speed is key, but quality is never sacrificed.

  • In person, in New York City.
