The Claims team is developing efficient systems for claims processing, prior authorizations and utilization management, to ensure members receive appropriate care cost-effectively. These systems will integrate with partner solutions to achieve provider payment integrity and accuracy for the healthcare service. We are leveraging proven technologies and business rules engines to create a highly configurable system. Collective Health is building modern health management systems, which enhance the claims engine, using cutting-edge technologies.
Design and develop scalable, secure, and configurable platform services for the Cost Containment team.
Develop and support full-stack services across backend (Java/Spring Cloud), integration platforms (Kafka, Mulesoft), and frontend (React/Angular/GraphQL etc.).
Use AI-powered developer tools (e.g., Copilot, Cursor) and actively contribute to AI adoption in development and operational aspects.
Build and enrich APIs and data services to integrate with partners and our claims engine.
Collaborate with Lead developers and product managers in building solutions that leverage Business Rules Management Systems (BRMS) like Drools etc.
Understand design decisions and actively drive code development using reusable patterns for cloud-native, AI-enabled backend systems.
Experience: 5+ years as a Full-Stack engineer.
Full Stack Engineering: Proficiency in Java & Spring Cloud, with a good understanding of microservices architecture and Kafka streaming. Working experience building UI features using React/Angular with GraphQL.
AI Tools: Understanding of AI-enhanced development tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot, Cursor, WindSurf).
Cloud: Good experience with Cloud Technologies (AWS/GCP preferred).
Data: Working experience in SQL/PostgreSQL, and developing data-intensive services.
Rules Engines: Nice to have experience in working with Business Rules Management Systems (BRMS) like Drools, Kogito etc.
Team Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including developers, and product managers, to gather requirements and ensure solutions meet business needs.
This is a hybrid position based out of one of our offices: San Francisco, CA, Plano, TX, or Lehi, UT. Hybrid employees are expected to be in the office two days per week.#LI-hybrid
The actual pay rate offered within the range will depend on factors including geographic location, qualifications, experience, and internal equity. In addition to the salary, you will be eligible for stock options and benefits like health insurance, 401k, and paid time off.

$134,500 - $168,750 USD
Lehi, UT Pay Range
$107,635 - $134,000 USD
Plano, TX Pay Range
$117,500 - $147,000 USD
