Join Cloudera’s AI Team as a Software Engineer II to help build our next-generation Enterprise AI & Machine Learning platform. We are creating a seamless experience that accelerates ML from exploration to production, supporting the deployment of Generative AI applications in a hybrid cloud environment.
Our team operates at the intersection of AI, Kubernetes, and major cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP, OpenShift). We integrate with massive data sources like Apache Hive, S3, and HBase to empower data scientists and engineers worldwide.
Design and code elegant, scalable, and secure application services that power the future of AI.
Develop application services integrated with machine learning models and Generative AI workflows.
Advocate for best practices, clean coding standards, and high-quality software craftsmanship.
Partner with UI engineers, UX designers, Product Management, and Field Engineering to deliver high-impact features.
Work to improve developer velocity and team agility within a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
2+ years of experience building scalable microservices using Go (Golang), Node.js, C#, or Java.
Hands-on experience with Kubernetes (K8s) and at least one major cloud provider (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
Experience building applications that leverage Python, TensorFlow, Spark, or MLflow.
Proven ability to create high-level and low-level designs for complex distributed systems.
Familiarity with React, HTML, and CSS to support end-to-end feature development.
Strong ownership, a sense of craftsmanship, and excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Experience with LLMs, prompt engineering, fine-tuning, and RAG using vector databases (Milvus, Pinecone, etc.).
Familiarity with LangChain, Guidance, or NeMo.
Deep understanding of cloud networking or AI/ML orchestration (Kubeflow, KServe, Knative).
Experience using Spark, Hive, or other large-scale data technologies.
