Description

APPLE INC has the following available in Elk Grove, California.

Designing, architecting, building and continuously develop a dedication and highly available database infrastructure for Infrastructure Services Data Services.

Using various Partitioning schemes to optimize the database performance for scalability.

Working closely with Application team in advancing their critical initiatives such as delivering business availabilities.

Supporting various load tests from Application teams during ramp up period to production go-live.

Supporting various database maintenance activities like Oracle Database Upgrades, Patch Management, User Management and RMAN backups.

Setting up Golden Gate Active environments for databases which in same geographic locations and across regions via cloud and local Data Centers.

Setting up FSFO with and without Golden Gate for high availability and implement no data loss solution.

Deploying new 19c features for high availability.

Deploying Golden Gate CDR functions to handle conflicts.

Developing innovation, strategies, processes, and standard methodologies to delivers Apple services to all our customers around the world.

40 hours/week.

At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role.

The base pay range for this role is between $135,327 - $193,200/yr and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field and 5 years of progressive, post-baccalaureate experience in the job offered or related occupation.

• 4 years of experience in each of the following skills is required:

• Unix Shell scripting language to automate routine tasks.

• Using SQL and PLSQL to achieve fast data access, query to manage database and improve performance.

• Integrating Python into database management tasks to improve coding efficiency.

• Utilizing GCP and AWS to build hybrid high availability system.

• High Availability: Achieving data protection using standbys, replication, or other high-availability replication solutions.

• Using Auto upgrade to upgrade databases.

• Performing capacity planning, benchmarking, and performance tuning for databases.
