built an ai tool for etymology nerds: deconstructor. i originally thought up the idea in the middle of my multivariable lecture, and built during class and finished it over a weekend. the goal was to use AI to analyze the origins of english words, but it ended up having a ton of amazing generalizations:
Breaking down complex scientific terms/chemicals
Inferring plausible meanings for novel words
Analyzing names and brand etymologies
Working across hundreds of languages
The response has been incredible - the tool has gone viral with over 450,000 views, over 5000 likes, and 65,000 deconstructions from users across over 120 countries! Check it out and please share any cool deconstructions that you find!
