The most vulnerable part of a woman's daily comute is the last mile walk from the public transit stop to her home. We today use our phones to find out the shortest / fastest routes, but what about the safest route? Nidar, a PWA developed by our team tries to take on this challenge and make our streets safer, making citizens vigilant. The app uses a safeness heatmap and zoning to recommend the safest route, through data mining done on historical crime data, proximity to police stations, bars etc, and the incidents reported through the app. The app also allows to report incidences at a tap of button right from the notification bar, hassle-free and takes it up with the authorities.
