With the COVID-19 pandemic at its peak during the second wave, hospitals were burdened due to lack of beds and doctors were finding it impossible to monitor the patients that were under self/home isolation. We created a digital oximeter prototype that not only monitors blood oxygen and pulse but also keeps a record of patient history which can be displayed to the doctors through a ThingSpeak channel dashboard. Using Blynk IoT Platform our prototype was accompanied with a mobile app as well that can be used by family members keeping track of patients in home isolation and the entire product works wirelessly as it uses NodeMCU. We also had webhook integration set up that sends alert emails whenever a reading is detected above or below a certain defined threshold. The device was created to be as cost-effective as possible. The entire prototype was built at less than half of the price of a medical-grade oximeter available in the market, and our prototype readings saw an error of 3%-5%. Demo: https://youtu.be/STwF1PL4S_w
